Local Food Purchasing Program

Wake County Cooperative Extension, in partnership with the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina and Interfaith Food Shuttle, has launched the Local Food Purchasing Program. This initiative has invested $1.485 million dollars in local producers!

This program aims to increase wholesale buyer connections and develop self-sustaining capacity of emergency food partners to source more local foods. Here is a list of farms who has participated in the program:
